First of all, let's find out what a beadboard is. It is a row of vertical wooden planks, lined side to side on the wall. That is where the 'board' part comes from. The 'bead' part comes from the little indentation between two wooden planks, giving it the appearance of lines or stripes.
So a beadboard bathroom would be a bathroom which has a little or all of the surface area covered by these planks.

The beadboards we bought came in 4ft x 8 ft long panels, so we got them cut in half to make it easier to carry them home.
Similarly, if the store you go to has panels that are too tall for your liking, you can always get them cut to the desired height. However, you can always cut them yourself using a circular saw.
Step 2: Find the studs

Find all the framing studs behind the wall with a stud finder and mark them with visible tape or a marker.
Step 3: board it up

Start from one corner of the wall and line up the panels. Make sure the board is straight by using a level.
Ensure the bottom of the board does not touch the surface of the ground as it might get damaged by getting wet persistently. Mark the area on the wall where the top and bottom of the panel will be.
Once you have placed the beadboard in its position, apply construction adhesive at the back surface of the panel and glue it to the wall.
Once again check with a level to ensure they are straight. Then attach some brad nails into it, using a brad-nailer and nails. When doing that, make sure to put some nails into the studs, behind the top bottom and middle of the beadboard panel.
Step 4: Trim the panels to size

When you reach the end of the wall after putting the last wooden panel, measure the width from the edge of the panel to the corner.
Now very carefully cut a wooden panel according to the width using a circular saw. Now attach the cut panel to the wall like before. To give beadboard bathroom walls a continuous look, try to make the cut in a way that it will line up with the next bead design.

- Choose a nap roller of your desired size and pattern
- To prep the roller, wrap around painter's tape on its surface and remove it to get rid of any lint or dust particles. Repeat this a couple times
You may paint the panels before or after the installation. Make sure to let the paint dry completely dry if you are painting it before the installation. Paint it as you would a wall.
